Consumer confidence

This is a so called leading indicator meant to indicate the level of optimism amongst consumers about their financial future. It is found out by means of a survey and is evaluated in percentage terms.Usually this factor is used to predict tendencies in the labor market and the general economic state of a country. Growth of this indicator is a factor leading to the growth of the national currency (as the survey is held in the USA, so it leads to the growth of the US dollar).
The results of this survey are published on the last Wednesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. (Washington).
