Michigan consumer sentiment index
This index reflects the results of a survey of consumers about their confidence in the current economic state of their country. The survey is held by employees of Michigan University. In fact, this index reflects the desire of a consumer to spend his money. The growth of this index is an important factor for the US dollar exchange rate only moderately influences the Forex market. Reports are released twice a month at 10:00 EST (New York). The preliminary one is published on the day which is closest to the 15th Friday and the final report is released a fortnight later.
