Records the number of sales of newly constructed houses. This amount is connected with national rates of interest as houses are usually purchased on credit. For the index calculation the moving average is used just as for many other indicators which are the subject of seasonal shifts. In general, if this indicator tends higher it is a positive factor for the national currency, although the influence on the Forex market is limited overall. Index data is published at the beginning of every month at 10:00 EST (New York).
